A stellar performance by Port Melbourne, picking up where we left off last season. In remarkably accurate kicking, Port kicked 9.0. 54 to Essendon 0.7.7 (four of which were scored in the first quarter.)
I thought tackling pressure was first rate, and as the game went on, the Borough's ball movement and poise really stood out. If that can be replicates throughout the season, Port should go very close once again.

Curious what kind of support Port's women's team get? I remember the place being packed for the grand final last year and it seems Port supporters have really gotten around their women's team.

UptheDolphins. The women's side is fairly well supported. Last week's game at Tullamarine was mainly Port supporters, quite a few that seemed to be friends/family. Probably no more than a couple of hundred at the game though.

Glad to hear a fair few of Port's supporters are getting behind the women's team. A couple hundred is still a lot better than the crowds our girls usually get. Can only hope to one day see our supporters get behind them the way Port's have.
