Heard off a very unreliable source that there has been some talk of a merger between Port Melbourne and Melourne football clubs to be known as the Port Melbourne Demons.
Melbourne will assist in the $$ for the upgrades of the reserve.
This will become their training base, administration and VFL home ground obviously. Port Melbourne will still hold a team in the VFL and work just as Port Adelaide do in the SANFL yet finally (110 odd years later) be accepted into the VFL/AFL.
Any Port Melbourne members on record will recieve a discounted membership price, and Melbourne members to recieve a VFL membership.
On record Melbourne members to recieve discounted VFL membership.
5 Port Melbourne VFL listed players over the next 5 years MUST be at least rookied by the AFL club.
The details of Jumper etc are still to be negotiated, and Port Melbourne want TEAC recognised as a major sponsor on the Jumper.
