Round 20 Fixture Change
In order to cover Football Victoria's backside cos they have F**KED things up big time, the Werribee v Coburg match will now be played on Saturday August 20th instead of Sunday August 21st. This will allow Werribee a 6 day break if they have to play Bendigo in a Friday night final. The move to a Saturday means I shall not be there, and I am not happy. I think Gannon has a lot to answer for over this whole issue, it has been a total stuff up. It ruins the integrity of the competition with these sorts of decisions. Two games have had to be moved to accommodate this circus they are putting on up at Bendigo the next week. What they do with finals is WRONG, plain and simple. I am very unhappy over this. And it will be worse when a side has to travel to Tassie in Week 2 despite finishing higher. I hope it is Bendigo who have to go down there and I hope they get SMASHED!!!

Frankston should finish Tassie off in week one, so you won't get your wish.

I might have a crack at your footy club every now and then but I respect the way you go about things down there and hope you get somewhere in the finals. I'm livid over the whole Tasmania and Bendigo preferential treatment from FV. I hope you get into these meetings with Mr Suade and his two chins and make a point of how bloody wrong it is that finals are given to sides who dont deserve them. And at night as well, imagine Frankston if they had to go to Bendigo for a final on a Friday night. You never play night games during the season, its bloody 3 hours away, plus your fans would all lose their licences on the drive home ;) It is just so wrong, I can't see how they can justify it.

Gee, I am a new member of this site and cannot believe the amount of tripe that is placed by ignorant subscribers like Footyman. The easiest thing in this world is to whinge and make comments without exploring the facts ie have you spoken to Port Melbourne officials about the alignment with the Kangaroos? No! Have you spoken to Coburg officials about their situation? No! Playing finals in Tasmania where there are big crowds is financially responsible for the VFL. Teams like Tasmania, North Ballarat and Bendigo have to travel to games in Melbourne all of the time, just because the Melbourne teams do not have anywhere the amount of travel these teams have it becomes a pathetic argument for those to complain about going South or North. For those ignorants out there Coburg's crowd average up to round 12 this year is the 5th highest in the League, Port Melbourne's average is the lowest being under 900 per match, this average has been the same for them over the past 3 years. I hope Footyman that you and others like yourself look at putting your hand up and helping your club rather than just bagging everything about the game. I put my hand up and work hard as a volunteer, costs me at least $500 per year to be a volunteer and supporter (travel, accommodation, meals etc.) but I love it, especially when I meet others like me from other clubs. Get off your backside, take your hand off your mouse and start putting something back, if you do so then maybe you can gain some credibility in the negative comments you continually make. I suppose Footyman you think the league should only be made up of Port, Willi, Frankston, Box Hill and Sandringham then get rid of the rest, it would make for a league that would have a very short life span. C'mon mate be a bit more positive.

My heart says when a side takes top spot they should not have to travel away and be disadvantaged in a crucial finals match. You know exactly the amount of carry on the AFL has suffered for the finals bias, the VFL should be no different. But at least the AFL has gotten off their backside and corrected the wrong. Maybe the VFL should do it to.

Stanga, no I am not Ken Gannon, I only have the averages up to round 12 not by each match, these figures are in a document that every VFL club has a copy of.
