Also go to the Carlton Social club at half time and after the game.
Always a big social day on VFL Grand Final day.
Have not missed a vfa/vfl Grand Final for years.
First GF was the 1970 Prahran v Williamstown Final.
Have not missed a GF since.
Have gone to most of the 2nd Division Grand Finals between 1971 and 1988.
Best Grand Final was the 1990 Williamstown v Springvale match
Best elated after the 1982 2nd Division GF between Northcote v Caulfield
Most gutted after the 1985 Sandringham v Williamstown- seagulls lost by a goal.
Most boring was the 1995 Springvale v Sandringham
Worst GF was the 2000 Sandringham v North Ballarat at Waverley- they sold only light beer and with no pub in sight as Wheelers Hill is too far
away. Always like to have a pre social drink where we meet up before the Grand Finals. Poor crowd as well with the Vermont v East Burwood the night before drawing a bigger crowd and also serving full strength beer.
Most Fiery the 1976 GF between Port v Dandenong
Biggest non event the 1984 2nd Division GF between Box Hill v Oakleigh
Last but not least- miss the days of Toorak Park and Junction Oval finals.
