Yes, a sook about the TV schuduling. I understand that by the end of the season its meant to have evened up, and I know with Sunday games and all the co-ordination of the VFL and AFL fixtures makes it tough BUT
The ABC have showed four TV games so far this year, two of which were North Ballarat home games. Why? Going into last week Nth Ballarat and Casey had both already been on the TV, Geelong and Frankston played at the same time and neither had yet been shown. Why wouldn't that be the TV game?
Up to Round 10, the half way mark of the season, only 9 of the 13 sides will have appeared on TV. Not good enough IMO. Of those not to have been on Telly to that point will include Sandringham, the 2005 premier.
Between Rounds 7 and 10, three matches involving Tasmania will be shown on ABC TV. Thats 3 times in four weeks. Sorry, but not everyone barracks for Tassie. Infact I would suggest for a Victorian audience they'd have the least amount of interest - and thats taking into account the Kangaroos are now aligned.
I understand the reasons for the allocation of TV games, and have often been supportive of it in the past, but I still think greater effort needs to be made to spread the matches across teams early in the season.
Any agree?
