GEELONG VFL captain James Podsiadly will today front up against his old club, Werribee, for the first time since his shock switch at the end of last season.

The Cats host the Tigers in the AFL curtain-raiser at Skilled Stadium this morning, but Podsiadly said he wasn't expecting any fireworks from the club he captained and won a Liston Trophy at last year.

A PEACE deal has been brokered between the AFL and the AFL Victoria board with the addition of two new AFL executives on AFLV's board as part of a change to the constitution.

Several VFL teams have feared for their future after the AFL's request to be the sole voting member of the AFLV's board, but the request was voted down.

North Ballarat will bring the Victorian Football League to Stawell this weekend when it hosts Bendigo Bombers at Central Park on Sunday.
The Roosters and Bombers met for the first time at Central Park in 2007, and following the success of that venture, the fixture will return in 2009.

North Ballarat CEO Mark Patterson said he was proud to be bringing the VFL back to Stawell.
