You wont see this brought up in the media but I recon Patrick Rose was very harshly treated at the Bulldogs.
I always rated him a good player but seeing him up close at Port hes easily the best small forward in the state.
I honestly think he was not given any opportunity at the Western Bulldogs because of a personality clash. The whispers were that Eade told him he needed more strings to his bow to play AFL and he needed to become a midfielder.
But one thing the dogs have is midfielders. Why would they need another when when they have 10-15 blokes they could run through the middle?
Yet when the finals come around the Western Bulldogs and the coach himself said they were desperate to find a small forward and even gave a debut to Andrew Hooper in the most import game of the season. Very strange to me.
He will kick close to 70-80 goals this season if he plays all the matches and could be still on the radar of a few AFL clubs.
And no I am not a mate or relative of Rose. Just an observer.
