Well done to your blokes ons , by far the better side.
Although the last qtr fade out from our blokes was disappointing I thought it was really the first 20 mins that did the damage. Our guys looked shell shocked early and just never quite recovered. I was proud of the way they fought back in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs but terribly disappointed in their final qtr effort.
Thought Pitt was ok for you guys along with Alexander , and of course Rocca was the big difference between the sides. For what it's worth I was very impressed with what I saw of Thomas in the ressies and fair dinkum , what's Nick Gill doing at that level ??
Look forward to meeting you blokes again with a bit more 'body' in our side.
Well done.
Well Box Hill certainly gave us a scare when it got to within about 8 points. For a side that was hit hard with injuries, you could probably take a bit out of that game.
Alexander was used pretty sparingly and really only came on when a few injuries sidelined McIntosh and Gibson.. I though Pitt was ok seemed to be a bit in and out of play.
My first real look at Thomas as well, and yeah looks a talent thats for sure... As for Nick Gill, well I guess its a case of "team balance" with such as strong side available. Would surely be an automatic pick if Sav plays for North next week.
Yeah , I realise Alexander was on and off a bit but I was looking beyond the main players and I've seen a bit of him in the past and I reckon he can play. I also think Pitty will give you blokes a bit this year.
Hate to drag this up again but where are the two guys who wanted to go to Frankston playing ???
Both Phibbs and Robertson are on our list this season, although I am not sure they have been around the club. I haven't got along to training in recent weeks so can't say for certain.
Both Robertson and Phibbs will not be playing for port this season. I believe they will stand out for the season if they have to.
