Practice match - Williamstown v Casey.
Body:
I've been given the ok to re-post this here.
Good wins by both seniors & ressies. Reserves Williamstown 19.17.131 Casey 11.12.79 Seniors Williamstown 148 Casey 79 Highlights for me, included spekky's from Cloke, and 2 from Callum Urch, both players played well, especially Urch, very lively, kicked quite a few goals, great player, Cloke was very vocal, seemed to be a leader out on the ground, hard at it, put his body on the line a few times. A few of the other Willy listed players did well, Ben Jolley got a lot of the ball, good skills, Brett Johnson was in the thick of it, Rose i thought was good, especially early. Liam Picken, David Stretten, Cam Lockwood, Nathan Lyons all seemed to play well. For the Dogs listed players, CALLAN WARD - remember that name - WOW, 3 goals from the midfield, was running everywhere, awesome skills, great height for a midfielder as well. Wayde Skipper played, was given some time in the ruck as well, did ok, considering he's had no pre season, Doogs was kind of in & out of it, didn't really impress, Jarrad Grant was also in & out of the game, but kicked a few goals for memory, is a ONE GRAB player, great hands, took a few awesome pack marks, not bad for a skinny kid. O'Keefe was also patchy, O'Shea was tough, and spoiling well, fast breaks, did well, Street got 2643756454 hit outs, but 99% went to the opposition players, very frustrating, but laid a few tackles. Harbrow was also good, skilful, played on & off the bench a lot, he'll be good for the run, Timmy Callan was good off half back, reads the play very well. For Casey, a few Saints players running around, James Quilt got alot of the ball, Michael Rix in the ruck, Brendon Goddard was good, Matty McGuire was strong off half back, but overall, Willy were just too skilful, harder at the ball, tackling was a feature.
mighty_west is a long time member of the Sons Of The 'Scray forum.
