Body:
A good tight tussle in the first quarter, which quickly was blown wide-open by a very good Bullants side. The talls in Adrian Deluca and Digby Morell who both have spent time at the Borough were out-marking the smaller Borough defenders. Matt Smith spent most of his time up forward, with the absence of David Pitt, who watched the game on crutches.
The second half was played in constant rain, but the Bullants continued to kick away, running out big winners in the wet conditions.
The umpiring was disturbingly one-sided once again, taking until time-on in the third quarter before Port Melbourne received their 4th free kick of the day. Considering the Bullants kicked three of their first 4 goals from free kicks inside 50m, the Borough faithful were furious with the perceived bias throughout the game.
