Looking forward to what I think will be a tight contest. The Scorpions will be thrilled with their win over the Tigers last week, and reportedly have re-committed themselves to work as a real team for the remainder of the season after their ordinary start.
Both sides look strong on paper. Kris Shore has been named as Ports FF, although that role will probably rotate with Gill and McIntosh likely to spend time there as well.
Shayne Smith who has given Springvale great service in previous years, is back again after missing a year. He has been named on the bench, and is an indicator that the vales think they have the targets up forward who will kick goals. The inclusion of Smith will be a highlight for the Port ladies who sit behind the interchange, being able to get a few choice words before he gets out onto the ground.
For Port, its good to see that Tom Hooker is back in contention following the shoulder injury, with some good form in the reserves. Ben Finnin is also in the mix after featuring in the best over recent weeks
