Collingwood have hung to beat Geelong by a point in a thrilling finish at Skilled Stadium today. A game which for 3 quarters didn't offer much came alive in the last quarter. Geelong came out Collingwood in the last quarter but the Pies held on.
Danny Stanley and Chris Dawes(5 goals) were Collingwood's best although Justin Crow was named as the ABC Man of the Match. He provided a great chase late in the last quarter to run down Cat Jay Cheep in what looked like a goal and ended as a rushed behind.
The loss for the Cats has probably ended any chance they had on playing finals.
It is the first time that Collingwood have won 2 games in a row.
