He played with Melbourne FC under the guidance of John Northey and had a distinguished career at Prahran in the VFA. In his 8 years at Prahran his achievements included, 3rd in the Liston Trophy, premiership player (winning the best on ground) and captain of the reserves 1991 premiership side. His coaching credentials are long and impressive starting in the Cannons development squads in 1995 before coaching Old Brighton and Old Scotch in the VAFA to numerous finals appearances in A and B grade in including a premiership.
