Body:
Hard to know how seriously the club took this game, going into it with just the two interchange players. Perhaps player management was the key issue, with two more games to play tomorrow.
Port was on fire early, with Wells and Sinclair very good early. Several new players for Port (maybe still playing for a spot on the list) were useful, with Ramsay particularly getting a lot of the ball.. Some indecision going into the forward fifty was the only thing you could be critical about. Hamish tired as the game went on, and Blake Grima was good at ground level.
In the forward line, Nick Gill was excellent, leading strongly and taking a couple of strong grabs.. When the ball spilt to ground level he was also very good at keeping the ball in the forward 50.
Peter Filandia made the coaches address at 1/4 and 3/4 time. Kris Shore looked good in patches, and Rob Alexander worked hard, particulary getting across to loose players around the ground. Trotter and Ben Schwarze also were useful.
Interesting to see who plays tomorrow, as those involved in todays game would be exhausted.
Looking forward to tomorrows two games. - I will post some of todays pictures later.
