It was a big day for the ever popular Big Bob Johnson and the army of Oakleigh supporters.

Prahran did it easy to win it's second flag in four years.

Oakleigh playing in their third consecutive Grand Final but were no match for the far superior and slicker Port Melbourne outfit.

It was geelong West's only Division One flag and they did it in style for Billy Goggin and his crew.

1971 Sunshine 22.26.158 d Brunswick 16.8.104
The Crows won their only flag with a big win despite inacurrate kicking. A young Alan Stoneham went on to become a good player for both Footscray and Essendon after starting his career at Sunshine.

The roosters were the last team to be undefeated for the whole season.
Had a couple of narrow wins against Caulfield.

Tony Jewell's bears win their one and only flag.

Coburg proved far too good for the wickers who were runners up for the third time in four years.

Brunswick finally break through for a well deserved flag beating the Wells by 47 points.
