Welcome to the VFL tipping comp for the 2006 season. # I will send a couple of reminders in the next week before the first Round. # Great to see many old VFA supporters from Port Melbourne, Box Hill, Sandringham, Dandenong and Camberwell as well as others who are regulars on this website forum. Even better to see those great old VFA club logos on this site. The inagural VFL tipping comp was held in 2000 season with 11 tipsters. The comp has grown rapidly where 96 tipsters took part last season. We are hopefull for at least 110 tipsters for the coming season, hopefully more. Details for tipping comp are as follows : The cost to enter the VFL tips is $20 for the year. Based on 100 tipsters, the prizemoney will be as follows: 100 x $20 = $2000.00 Naturally if we get more tipsters in the cop the prizemoney and weekly prizes will be larger. The top three place getters prizemoney for first place is $550, second place $300, and for third $110. Plus select the aggregate score for the ABC VFL match of the day. (Total = $960) For the following rounds 1/3/5/7/9/10/11/13/15/17/19 tipster closest to the aggregate score will collect $40 for each of those rounds. (Total $440) If we can get more than 100 tipsters, the prizemoney for the top 3 placegetters will be bigger and we can include more rounds for the ABC match of the day to select the aggregate score. The tipster to select 6 winners and closest to the aggregate score to collect a $30 weekly prize. If no tipster has selected 6 winners, the prizemoney will jackpot to the next week. The top three pays out $960, the aggregate score pays out $440, and the weekly (6 winners) pays out $600. All tips to be sent by email or phone by Friday. I will send a reminder to those who haven't submitted their tips by Friday afternoon. Any tipster who has not put their tips in for the round will be given the away teams. The $20 entry fee must be paid prior Round 6. Every Monday I will send a tipsters ladder, summary of the weekends matches and a list of next weekends matches.
