Next season, will again show one of the main reasons the VFL lacks credibility, continuity, passion, loyalty etc. etc. etc.
Shane Valenti... Sandringham born and bred, playing great footy at a club that he loved. He gets drafted, nothing wrong with that, good on him and thoroughly deserved...
BUT there is a high chance he will at some stage play in a Casey Scorpions jumper next season, absoloute disgrace (mind you i won't be complaining  )
To a lesser extent, Robert Eddy, Gippsland under 18 player (meaning Casey u/18's  ) signed by Casey before he was rookied by St. Kilda, now goes to Sandringham to play VFL footy.
There are plently more of these example, but just throwing a couple out to get conversation started.
Michael Rix, who only going by what i've thought while chatting to him every now and then probably would have been one of the most loyal players to a VFL club will line up for his 4th VFL club next season. How does he go back to the club that gave him so much at the end of his AFL career and play a couple of good seasons of footy in the VFL where the supporters know him, love him, cheer for him when he's got 4 clubs he played for??
The sooner the Victorian AFL clubs are ruduced to 6 teams the better for the VFL comp...
