I remember after the Bendigo game the issue was Bendigo fielding 17 AFL listed players and not abiding by the 12/10 rule. Since then the truth has come out, Bendigo are really just the Essendon reserves team in disguise and the 12/10 rule does not apply. Port played like crap that day and did not deserve the points. It was not the umpires fault Port lost that game.
The round 9 Record editorial claims "clubs playing against Frankston and Port Melbourne face the 12/10 rule". This appears to be untrue as Geelong, Collingwood and "Bendigo" can play as many AFL listed players as they want to.
Is anyone else confused?
