Didn't get to the game until after half-time so not the best person to comment on the game. But was told that Werribee had several chances early and should have been in front at quarter time.
The Bullants looked good after that with Digby Morrell [4-Goals] playing his best game of the season. Footscray's long injury list looks to be taking its toll on Werribee, not sure if they can be a genuine force in 2006. But they did sneak into the eight in 2003 with a virtual VFL side and cause sides trouble come finals time.
Everything is going well for the Bullants and after the bye they are well placed to have a crack at holding top spot and working towards the clubs first premiership since 1984.
Injuries to Raso, Vansittart, Franchina and Young has allowed first season players such as Davies, Hickey and Clarke to get some good game time in at senior level. Vansittart should be back after the bye, Raso and Young sometime next season.
The reserves play Williamstown at Williamstown 11.10am this Sunday.
