Big one for us. Based on our effort last week, this absolutely looms as a winnable game. But I also expect Port to come out firing today. They're under pressure to show something after last week.

Great win by the Dolphins today. Better side all day, would have put them away earlier if not for some shocking accuracy. Hope that gets fixed, but the overall performance was great.

Whoahhh, big win for the Dolphins at North Port, well done - Port's season not going to plan it would be fair to say

As Robbo said, haven't won a game at Port Melbourne since 2006. Came awfully close in 2022 before choking in the 4th quarter.

Inaccuracy aside, we were the better side all day. Anyone who thought Frankston would be an easy beat this year will be rethinking things after today.

That's great a few of the stand-alones like Frankston and Coburg appear a bit stronger this year and are more than competitive

Nice win by Frankston and as UTD says they outplayed a sloppy Port all day. Game should have been done and dusted at half time. 25 point margin a little flattering for Port. 31 scoring shots to 16 says it all.

Dolphins certainly better structured this year and playing more direct to a stacked forward line. I can't remember Frankston ever having so many potent scoring options. Gown, Johnson, Butland (superb yesterday with 5 goals) and Newnes, and there's also the option of playing O'Leary closer to goal. All of those guys are enormous kicks and can kick 50 metre goals with ease.  Hopefully Gown's injury is not too bad - the fact that he played out most of the game is a positive. Really important for Frankston to have him out there.

Probably still a little thin in the backline. Of all the talent that left the club last year they are probably missing Stoddart the most, taking the intercept marks across half back and his pin point accuracy kicking.

Port looked pretty ordinary. Skill level is not high and a couple of players looked a little casual to me. That's a worry. Lets hope they can get it together. Anyone know how long Skrobolak has left on his contract?

Skrobolak has only this year to go, I believe it was 2 years initially and then renewed last season. Apologised to the Port melbourne fans after the game and said he took full responsibility which some Port fans appreciated. Unfortunately though that doesn't change the fact that the fans feel like their huge optimism is dwindling and can't take many or any positives from the last two weeks.

I said it last week, Frankston are better than what many and even.their own fans give them credit for, Port are ok but only that. Doubtful we will able to recruit to the calibre of this season every year, if we can't win consistently with the side we have unfortunately we're going to have a tough future.

Anybody have Doc Browns phone number ? Want to fast forward to 2025 (before visiting 2011 first).

Off field many positives to take, Port has moved to another level and put on a great show infront of a very healthy predominantly borough crowd. The queuing issues I'm sure will be addressed. Hopefully success where it matters most isn't too far away.

Well, happy happy days at Kars Street :)

Well summed up Bearsman. The forward line was terrific yesterday in spite of the seemingly ordinary conversion rate. Took our boys a while to learn to square the ball up inside 50, particularly into the wind where we dominated Port in the first quarter. Let them off the hook and gave them a chance to play themselves into the game. At 2.9 I was concerned, but we learned the lessons and were much more direct in the second half.

In particular it was great to see Butland have a day out, he's a terrific mid-sized forward and has struggled in pre-season to find a good fit next to Gown, but yesterday he got back to presenting from the front instead of stagnating in a pocket and wow what a difference. 5.1 was a great return, and I believe he is only gonna get better. It does look potent up there, with Gown as a big target, freeing up a lot of room for Butland, Johnson, Newnes etc. O'Leary could fit in there in a pinch, but he seems to be relishing playing up the ground more and was just about best on ground in my opinion.

Backline is definitely not quite structured right at the moment. I personally would get Max Williams playing deep again, but right now it's hard to question Jackson Kornberg's methods at all. Barlow still looks a bit shaky as a key defender, but yesterday to his credit he rebounded beautifully across half back for us. Ollie Moran looks a great fit, and I think is only going to get better. It does look a fairly inexperienced group down back though, so we will have to have faith that they're gonna develop in time.

Fantastic to have a win on the board though, with some people thinking we'd struggle against everyone but Coburg and the Bullants. Things are only gonna get better for this group, mark my words.
