What would be the lowest official crowd number in history for a VFA/VFL game?
Body:

I was pondering this in the morning today, with the fixturing of home and away games on a Friday morning during a working week.

I wonder if it's actually been a record set recently, or a game from back in the 1980s prior to the demise of 2nd division.

I remember a few games following Camberwell that had very small crowds prior to dropping out of the VFA.

It'll be extremely hard to tell given how the AFL clubs don't even keep track of attendances, but I would think the lowest crowds would be coming from the past decade. A few years ago we watched Frankston play at a mostly-deserted Hangar.

A few games in the past 10 years were hardly better than a local match. I recall playing North Ballarat at Frankston in front of hardly a soul which was understandable as it was always destined to be a lopsided encounter and understandably not many North Ballarat fans turned up.

The mid week fixtures during work hours would only see the unemployed and close friends and family turn up.

A couple of games at the old Olympic Park had small crowds but the smallest I’ve encountered was for very obvious reasons, Port v Carlton in the lockdown. Could see a few people in the events centre but not a soul inside the ground, just a few curious on lookers who would come and go throughout a cold soulless day - glad those days are gone.
