THE spiritual home of Collingwood Football Club will again play host to the black-and-white army under a submission put to Yarra Council.
Collingwood plans to base its VFL side at Victoria Park next season, rekindling its ties with the ground it turned its back on a decade ago.
This week, Collingwood chief executive Gary Pert confirmed the club's push to return to the ground. He said the decision was driven by feedback from Magpie supporters and members.
"It's about providing a ground for us to play the VFL games and bring the black and white jumper back to that ground and to the community," Mr Pert said.
Council will consider the submission at a meeting next month.
