What do others think? I dont think its a viable proposition with only 11,000 odd for the two games as it looked on Foxtel like 3- 4000 were already at the TAC game.IMO the only way this comp will ever get anywhere near 20,000+ to a GF is to play when the AFL is NOT playing IE: the week after the AFL GF there is no point in being swamped by big brother in GF week and also give away plenty of tickets. The VFL will never be able to compete herad on as its providing the same product albeit an inferior one and the general public wont but it..
I know people dont want to hear about the VFA but at least they tried to be different with 16 a side, pionerring Sunday Footy, live TV, double headers and thats why they were very successfull for 30 years
As Diemetriou stated recently its all about crowds and there no more a bigger turn off on TV than a stadium only 1/5th full better off to get some decent sponserships and charge a small amount at the gate.
