FRANKSTON Dolphins Leigh Osborne, Khan Haretuku and Kyle Martin wore the Big V with distinction on Saturday.

The trio were among the best players in the VFL's 108-point win over Tasmanian State League at Hobart's Blundstone Arena.

Dolphins coach Simon Goosey also played a role, as assistant coach to Gary Ayres.

"(Osborne) won the Tassie jumper for being the best Victorian player," Goosey said.

"He was really good off half back, he provided a springboard. He's come a long way since he first rocked down to pre-season."

Haretuku slotted 4.2.

"He provided a target and was really good. He did himself no harm for the future," Goosey said.

"He's come a long way in three years."

Martin, he said, "was all class".

"He won the ball. He played mainly high forward - he's normally a midfielder - but he won a lot of the ball, kicked a couple of goals."

Goosey said the trio did their prospects of being drafted into the AFL no harm.

"After the game there were quite a few talking about the Dolphin boys from a recruiting point of view," he said.
