STABILITY is important for North Ballarat Roosters as they seek to build a full four-quarter effort this Victorian Football League season.

The Roosters last night named an unchanged line-up, plus extended interchange, to face Werribee on Sunday.

There has been plenty of in-depth match analysis and soul-searching at Eureka Stadium after the Roosters lost a fifth match this season from a one-quarter blow-out.

This line-up pushed Box Hill and staged a late resurgence at home last week. It has lots to prove and momentum to gain before the Roosters enter a bye round.

Kangaroos players for both North Melbourne-aligned clubs remain unconfirmed for the Sunday game at the Tigers’ Chirnside Park with the Kangaroos also to play a Sunday fixture.

The Roosters should have access to Kangaroos-listed defenders Luke and Cam Delaney, ball magnet Liam Anthony and Taylor Garner in their mix from Arden Street.

The Tigers, traditionally formidable at home, had a bye last round but have been forced to juggle their list for a midweek FOXTEL Cup showdown at Etihad Stadium against North East Australian Football League club Queanbeyan.

Their 85-point victory – with three goals from exciting tall Ben Brown – featured seven North Melbourne-listed players and a sprinkling of development players.

The danger for the Roosters is that Werribee kept some key Tigers in the stands to be fresh to face North Ballarat.

Dangerous forward Ben Warren and tough defenders Scott Sherlock, Sam Wormald and Jake Wilson were included in the Tigers’ line-up last night.

Warrren, Shirlock and Wilson each represented the VFL in Perth earlier this month.

In a tight VFL ladder, both teams will be hungry for a win to stay in touch with the top eight.

The Roosters have two wins and enter a bye round after this week, while the Tigers have three wins including a round 16 victory against Port Melbourne in a match brought forward to open the season.
