HAWTHORN appears likely to gain some ruck relief with former Bulldogs ruckman Wayde Skipper getting through unscathed in Box Hill Hawks' impressive 22-point win over the Northern Bullants at NAB Oval yesterday.
Skipper said yesterday that he was ready to make his debut for the Hawks and play his first AFL match since round 22 in 2008.

GEELONG will learn today the extent of a knee injury sustained by rookie defender Jack Weston in the Cats' 33-point loss to a beefed-up Collingwood in the VFL on Saturday.
Weston did not take any further part in the game after injuring his knee in the second quarter of the 15.14 (104) to 10.11 (71) loss at Victoria Park.

THE Bendigo Bank Bombers are on their best winning streak since 2005 after overcoming a spirited challenge from the Gold Coast in their VFL clash at the Queen Elizabeth Oval on Saturday.
In front of a big crowd, the Bombers won 15.17 (107) to 12.9 (81) as they registered their fourth consecutive victory.
