I've got kids sports Saturday morning, but hoping to catch the last quarter if possible. With the season drawing closer, the selected sides are reducing down closer to normal team selection.
In sad news for Port Melbourne, lifelong member Ken Drew died earlier this week aged 92. He was a but if a pioneer in the VFA, recording games to allow coaching staff to rewatch games to improve the professionalism of the club. He was a familiar face to many supporters and will be sadly missed.

I didn't get to the game in the end, but by all reports it was a solid 22 point win in the end after holding a 9 point lead at 3/4 time.
Alessio kicked 5 or 6 goals which is a great result given the Borough's forward line concerns.
This week its another Friday afternoon game at 4.30pm down at Hawthorn's new training facilities
I'm now cautiously optimistic that we are a chance of playing a final, maybe two this year.
* It's time to restore the VFA name.
