2011 Membership
Body:

I understand the current state of the comp etc. etc. But it is my opinion that as a general rule VFL clubs do not do enough to promote memberships (Casey as much if not more so then anybody)

From what I understand the Scorpions have had around about 400 members for the last couple of years. I'm not sure how many of them are paid up. I know player sponsors get 2 adult memberships, so that's 90 members straight away, they do pay money to sponsor players, but I think that generally offsets player apparel etc. Not sure if life members, staff etc. are included in the 400 odd.

500 paid up adult member at $60 each will generate $30,000 revenue.

I note that Port Adelaide magpies, a club on their knees already have over 1000 members for the 2011 season.

What is your club doing to attract more members?

Hopefully now that we are really settling out at Casey Fields the club can put some more time into attracting new members. I would love to see us nudge towards the 1000 mark.
