I realise that this is the last year of the current contract but why wouldn't the VFL look at staying on at Princes Park ? I reckon if we can get just ONE year of 15,000 plus it will become self generating. The place is central , parking is good , the surface is good and there are adequate facilities for 4 teams on the one day....more than you can say for Port. Throw in a 3 year moratorium on being driven by gate receipts ( i.e cheaper or FREE admission ) and we could really have the place jumping inside ten years. I understand the desire for the Port 'pack em in' environment but 10,000 is the limit there. Surely we should be looking to grow rather than just survive. Agreed PP needs some 'people friendly' adjustments but nothing that the second best comp in the country couldn't manage surely.
