Also great to see this incident, and in-turn the VFL, get coverage on page 3 of the Sunday Herald Sun today.
Just on this, I'm wondering if anyone else, particularly people who have followed the VFA/VFL for many years like ons or vfa, could maybe recount some bizarre and amazing incidents which have happened in this competition over the years.
I'll start things off by recounting a game late last year, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking it was the Round 20 game between Port Melbourne and Frankston at TEAC Oval. In the canteen pocket at the ground, a man was so upset that he felt hellbent on bringing the game to a stop, so he just jumped the fence and walked onto the ground. He didn't get very far, because his older companion calmed him down and reasoned with him before he did too much damage. But like he was on the ground for an amazing amount of time before the police or the players, etc., realised. Eventually, the police came over and the game was stopped for a few brief seconds. All I know is that after the match, he made a complaint to police, but I have no clue as to what made him jump onto the field or what his grievances were.
