FOR the Frankston Dolphins football team, unemployment is not just something that happens to other people.
Four players on the VFL side's 55-strong list have lost their jobs since the economy started to hurt; one of them the team's 28-year-old star on-baller, Justin Berry.
Berry, who plays his 100th game with the club this weekend, said he was laid off from his job as a building supervisor "three or four months ago".
Work was "flat out" until the end of last year but suddenly dried up after Christmas.
"We weren't doing any work. Nothing was coming in," Berry said.
