Wally... I saw him play during Willy's golden years. In the twitter comments it was mentioned only two players remain from the 1954 GF, that was the first GF I went to as 10 year old.. I'd say not many of the spectators who attend that game are still alive.
Yes, Johnny Martin and Len Kent are the only two survivors of the 1954 side although there are three from 1948/49 that are still with us and a fourth only passed away in September last year. I know a bloke whose first game was the 1949 GF but he's not travelling too well since a stroke last year but he was OK prior to that.
