It has occurred to me that, given the entry of Footscray/Western Bulldogs into the VFL in 2014 that, as much as we shouldn't or wouldn't like to, the Borough may be required to switch up our storied red and blue stripes so as to avoid a jumper clash. Of course, that relies upon the assumption that Footscray will wear the same jumper as their AFL counterpart (like Geelong and Essendon)and not something different (like Collingwood).
If this was to happen, I would think we would just go simple and reverse the colors, blue on red, similar to the "bardcode" style from a few years ago. Any swoops, swirls or gradients like some of the "efforts" in the AFL will surely not be acceptable.
What is the feeling on this? I'm usually a fan of clash jumpers as it is always interesting to see something different, but a lot of recent efforts (Bendigos spearmint horror, the Roosters stained glass window) have been rather ordinary.
