THIS SATURDAY - DOLPHINS, COUNCIL & NTH BALLARAT
Saturday, 30th of June 2007
Help Council spread the ‘I Love Frankston’ message around the nation!
Council has joined forces with the Frankston Dolphins to make this Saturday, June 30 'I Love Frankston Day', as our own VFL team take on the North Ballarat Roosters at Frankston Park. The game will be broadcast live around Victoria on ABC TV and around Australia on digital television, and the folks from Marketing Services will be selling ‘I Love Frankston’ merchandise and putting up ‘I Love Frankston’ banners so people right around the country get the message! ‘Frankston boy’, media personality and former star jockey Simon Marshall has become the first Champion of Frankston City, and he will be guest speaker at the pre-game luncheon, which features two complimentary cocktails and a surprisingly good three-course meal for just $18.
There is already a Council contingent of 30 attending the luncheon, and there is still about 40 places left. For a great lunch, and to help spread the good word about Frankston, phone the Dolphins on 9783 7888. Tables sit 10 people, but smaller or larger bookings are accepted. Lunch starts at 12pm, with kick off at 1pm.
Frankston will be taking on AFL footballers from the Kangaroos, and the best players Ballarat has to offer. So support our local boys, 28 of the 35 players that have represented the Dolphins senior team this year come from Frankston City or a neighbouring municipality, with 24 of those players being 21 years or younger.
