Coodabeen Champions are doing their show from the Pod Bar between 4pm to 6pm (available on 3MP 1377)
10.00am Ladbrokes opening odds.
Frankston 2.75 vs Box Hill 1.44
Wouldn't miss Champs and the Coodabeens Robbo, love their show and have been a fan for a long time.......really miss Guru Bob though :)
It will be interesting to see how much old foes Williamstown beat St Kilda seconds masquerading as the Sandringham football club get beaten by on Sunday
I miss the Coodabeen Champions since they moved from the Saturday morning timeslot on the ABC; Friday afternoon is not the most convenient time. I also am a fan of Roy & HG.
I will give Mrs Blackrocker a night out by taking her to the Frankston v Box Hill.
Box Hill Hawks 16-9(105) def Frankston 10-6(66)
Lloyd Meek rhe stand out player tonight
Frankston did not do enough with the wind in first quarter. But overall played alright.
crowd was over 1500
there was a good crowd in Pod Bar for an entertaining Coodabeens show
It was a grim old morning down at Williamstown.
The Borough completely out-played by Footscray who had a few changes to their line up I believe.
For Port it was probably the smallest crowd that the club has ever played in front of.
When you need to field a side that has a salary cap of $200k plus, those sorts of crowds are un-sustainable.
The poor crowd is most likely a result of multiple factors... Namely time, day, weather, venue and lack of success, along with some dis-satisfaction with the comp and the club I guess its no real surprise. But a poor end to what began with an inspiring win in Round 1.
* It's time to restore the VFA name.
Essendon 15-10(100) def Coburg 12-13(85)
Coburg has first winless season since Frankston in 2015
Their first winless season since 1993
Any idea why the Essendon v Coburg game was played at Willi?
Essendon vs Coburg was played at Willy because Essendon wanted game moved to Saturday then realised that Windy Hill was already booked for EDFL Womens Grand Finals
My timekeeping year in vfl came to an end today at Sandringham
Sandringham (16 afl listed players) had a comfortable w8n over Williamstown
Bit of a disappointing day for Willi given they could have locked up top 4. Still, finishing top 6 is a great rebound for the club after last year, hopefully they've still got some wins left in them.
I did not expect to come away from TBBO with a win plus pleasant weather for footy made it an enjoyable day.
Is "Digger" still with us ?
We might be from the bush. but we ain't green
Sorry to disappoint you billy but the Zebs were too good - maybe a few of the Saints were playing for their spot on next year's list
You can always listen to the Coodabeens podcasts, blackrocker - that's what i do coz i never remember to tune in on a Friday 'arvo plus you don't cop all the ads for Maccas, etc.
If Willi had finished fourth they would have had to venture to QLD to play Gold Coast which would be an enormous challenge - might mean no double chance but i'd fancy our chances against whoever we play after the wildcard round rather than taking on GCS up there
He's been following Collingwood for a VERY long time .....
