Frankston coach Shannon Grant is expecting good things from recruit Shane McDonald this season. From Bonbeach, where he was a best and fairest and Mornington Peninsula league team-of-the-year selection, McDonald showed some sparkle for Collingwood’s VFL team last season.
“He’s worked really hard since getting here. He’s lost a heap of weight and he’s super fit,†Grant said of the small forward. “He’s definitely a guy who can come in and be a good player for us.â€
