Reading through the Herald-Sun today I saw Geelong coach Mark Thompson was quoted as saying:
"In the VFL, it doesn't matter how they play. They can run around and do what they want."
Now I realise that Geelong are a special case, because their VFL side genuinely is their "reserves" however I don't think he is treating the competition with an appropriate level of respect.
He may also have been misquoted, and was merely referring to VFL practice matches... dunno.
