POTENTIAL senior opportunities clearly inspired Geelong's reserves players as they pulled off a stunning upset win against reigning VFL premier North Ballarat.

Trent West starred for the Cats in their 12.10 (82) to 10.13 (73) victory at Ballarat's Eureka Stadium, outpointing gun Roosters ruckman Orren Stephenson and providing a dangerous option when he moved forward.

TWELVE TIPSTERS PICKS SEVEN WINNERS

There were 12 tipsters that picked seven winners for Round 7. The tipster nearest the aggregate score of 195 points for the Sandringham v North Ballarat clash was David Ribchester who picked 197 points.

Ribby is a hard core Diamond Creek fan who supports the Bullants. Ribby picks up $30. Another $30 will go to the tipster who picks seven winners for next weeks games. If more than one tipster picks seven winners, the tipster nearest the aggregate score for the Port Melbourne v Werribee clash will collect. If no tipster picks seven it will jackpot to $60 to the following week.

ROUND 7 AGGREGATE SCORE GAME

There were four tipsters that picked the exact aggregate score of 195 points for the Round 7 ABC match between Sandringham v North Ballarat
clash.

Former Port Melbourne, Heidelberg and Warburton Millgrove Denis Lacy was one of the quartet. Others included Frankston fan Felicia Holland and borough pair Peter 'Brekky DJ' Holden and Mic Rees. Each pick up $10.

The next ABC match will be in Round nine which could feature Karmichael Hunt if the ABC decide to televise the Coburg v Gold Coast clash instead of the Werribee v Geelong match.

FRANKSTON plunged to the bottom of the ladder after being blown away by the winless Werribee Tigers at Chirnside Park on Sunday.

Coach Simon Goosey said the 59-point loss was particularly disappointing because, for three quarters, Frankston looked a winning hope.

Sniffing victory, Werribee slammed on 9.7 to 2.1 in the final 30 minutes to bolt clear.

NORTHERN Bullants moved into the VFL top eight after defeating Coburg by one goal at NAB Oval on Saturday.

The Ants started the Round 7 strong and by the end of the opening quarter had built a 20-point lead. But the Tigers fought back in the second term to reduce the margin to one point at half-time.

NORTH Ballarat dodged a bullet to stave off Sandringham by 13 points in the Victorian Football League at Sandringham on Saturday.

The Roosters were never headed in winning 15.14 (104) to 12.19 (91), but there was nothing clear cut about it.
