VFL Tipping update

LEADERS BOARD CGULL STILL LEADS

...but the margin has been cut down to two tips. Cgull only picked 2 winners from the five matches and would have been disappointed with the seagulls loss at Sandringham. Digger picked 3 winners to move within 2 tips from Cgull. Digger would have also been disappointed with the roosters loss at home to Werribee. In equal third spot are old bullants supporter Arthur, old burgers fan Daniel (also had a soft spot for Waverley Panthers). Others also on 59 winners and a share of third spot are another rooster in Gouloff, old two blues fan Macca as well as Tracy Haby. With 5 rounds left in the season there are plenty of chances for tipsters to make ground.

HARD ROUND FOR TIPSTERS

In what was a hard round to find winners no tipster managed to pick five winners for the round. The six winners jackpot will be $30 for the full round of six matches in Round 16.

AGGREGATE SCORE MATCH THIS WEEK

This weeks aggregate score match for the Casey v Coburg clash at Casey Fields was won by Barry 'Bulldog' Hemsley who selected 140 points where the aggregate score was 141 points (Casey 87 Coburg 54). Barry collects a lazy $40 where he can drown his sorrows after both his beloved Bulldogs and Seagulls lost on the weekend. The next aggregate score match will be the Round 17 clash between Casey v North Ballarat which will be played at Morwell.

Is this the end?

Will the Coburg City Oval really go? It’s been known for some time – as Paul Amy outlined last week – that under Moreland Council’s fanciful “Coburg Initiative” the Coburg City Oval will be bulldozed and replaced by a housing and civic redevelopment.

It is a truly ridiculous plan that is opposed with great force by everyone I talk to.

THE end to the Brad Ottens saga finally appears in sight, with the Geelong ruckman a chance to return through the VFL this week.

The 29-year-old, who has not played since round two because of a knee injury, will take part in the Cats' main training session of the week today.

If he gets through that, coach Mark Thompson said he would likely line-up for the reserves (WTF!) team on Saturday morning, with a view to play in the seniors the following week.
