The Tigers have appointed the position of General Manager to Des Ryan.

Ryan, who played football with Frankston after leaving Richmond, has more recently been involved with Richmond, working as their Sponsorship Manager.

Several players from the VFL were picked up in this years National AFL Draft. With the pre-season draft traditionally being the draft that most clubs pick more mature-age players, it is a good indication of the skills going around in the VFL.

The Springvale website reports that former Collingwood premiership player, Graham Wright, will be the 'vales Senior coach for season 2004. Graham coached locally in the EDFL with the North Ringwood club during seasons 2002 and 2003.

Williamstown yesterday announced that exisiting major sponsor Smorgon Steel would continue their involvement with the Seagulls, signing on for a further three year deal.

Andrew Shipp has been re-signed by Frankston. Shipp who played for Springvale and was picked up by Fremantle was a big signing by the Dolphins in 2003.
