I think the jumper will be a perfect fit for mickey mouse stadium. For half time entertainment they will be bringing out Kinko, Bozo and a few other clowns. I will be at a local footy game on Saturday. No interest of going to a circus. I would rather watch synchronised swimming or a stalemate in a game of chess than paying to watch St Kilda reserves running around with a clown jumper at Mickey Mouse stadium.
Peoples comments seem to contradict what Paul Amy says in his report. People here are often saying that nobody at Sandy cares about the club and that their are no Sandringham fans left (yet when I have been at the ground they always tend to have a healthy crowd). Paul Amy's report said " His phone ran hot as members and supporters voiced their displeasure with the “clash’’ jumper to be worn against Box Hill Hawks. " - that statement gives the impression that their still is plenty of support for Sandy and passionate support at that.

Mega, every Sandy game Ive been to in the last couple of years its been noticable that the nearly all of the people supporting Sandy are St. KIlda fans. If they do have members they're not going to the games.
The jumper which I decide that they should wear is actually a historical jumper in the history of the Sandringham Football Club, the first jumper of the club itself. The club started out as a merger of three suburban football clubs, and each colour represents a colour of those clubs.
It wasn't a copy of the local team in the then VFL, as St.Kilda was still at St.Kilda at this time, and this was Sandringham in 1929.
Play to win
Always Box Hill Hawks
That would have been a far better option Wizard. Shame Sandringham didn't consult you on the options. At least they could have honoured their history and appeased their St Kilda overlords at the same time :)
Not only does the current agreement require a St Kilda clash jumper and games at Moorabbin, I understand it also requires consideration of changing the name to better reflect the two partners in the alignment. If that's true, this is only the beginning.
Gave the Sandringham jumper another go. This time I added the St.Kilda logo to the back of both jumpers, created a Sandringham Zebras logo in the St.Kilda style and added it to the front of the clash jumper.
The agreement between the Zebras and the Saints also requires consideration of changing the name to better reflect the two partners in the alignment. First thing is it only requires consideration of changing the name. Also the Zebras have been part of the competition since 1929 when they were formed. The St.Kilda Saints are the AFL club, the Sandringham Zebras are the VFL club. Having the VFL side have a different name to the AFL club does allow for the clubs to be seen as separate clubs, and what one club does should effect the other.
Keeping the Zebras playing at Trevor Baker Beach Road Oval keeps the name of one of St.Kilda's favourite sons still being used.
I'll be going to TBBO on Sunday, will be interesting to see the atmosphere down there, I know the guy that runs the social club also so i'll interrogate him about the situation with Sandy and St Kilda, he follows the Saints but i hope he can tell me the situation down there
I wont be there and I expect VFA/VFL powerhouse Willy to beat the patheitc st kilda seconds by 10 goals plus.
Am hoping you are correct Billy, there was a time when Willi rarely won at Sandringham but the last few years I can't remember when Sandy last beat us, hopefully it's not tomorrow
