VFL Season 2026 fixture
Body:

... Sorry don't get your hopes up that it has been released.

People in the know say it has been delayed once again and won't be released today.

Hopefully the non-release of the fixture is due to a new broadcast partner coming on board. I doubt it though.

Has anyone seen the completed Round 2 fixture? I believe Port Melbourne are travelling down to Tasmania to play the Devils, but I'd like to have it confirmed where/when we play to see if I can snaffle some cheap flights.

Happy with Port Melbourne's fixture.  It's imperative that the Borough get off to a good start, and playing Sandringham in Round 1 (and twice in the season) who may be underdone due to the huge playing list changes, could be an opportunity to get 4 points on the board early.

We have quite a few Sunday games which is great for maximising crowds, along with no scheduled night games. I'm not anti night matches, but they must be scheduled in warmer months very early in the season.

It's a bit of a shame that so much money was spent on broadcast quality lighting, given that we don't currently have a free to air broadcaster from the main stream media.

Other positives are better start times, playing Box Hill at Port Melbourne for the first time in many years, the return of the Tom Scully Cup against the Zebras (twice).

Also playing the Devils in Round 2 at Launceston, being Tasmania's first home game of the season is huge.  I went to a few games in the Apple Isle  when Tassie first joined the comp and they got crowds of 10,000 to finals. I'd love to see those crowds again this year, even for the Home and Away season.
