Victorian Football Association History

Hi all, New here,so first time posting in this forum. What a fantastic website this is. Was absolutely rapt to see the old logos of the old VFA teams. Any one here know if there is a place on the net or on this web site, where you can see the former VFA teams Guernseys? Like Northcote, Moorabbin, Mordialloc, etc.? As I remember these teams, I was only a young kid, and they didnt always show div 2 teams. Thanx Caeser

Thanks North Port. In return I have an old game for you 1973 VFA 2nd Division Grand Final between Caulfield v Brunswick. I have the full second half of this game with commentators being Clem Dimsey who was an avid Camberwell fan and Craig Kelly. Playing for Caulfield was ex Richmond players Tony Jewell, Paddy Guinane and Mick Maguire.

Great VFA players who could have been superstars with the then VFL How many ex VFA players would have been great players in the VFL. They had potential to cut it but either did not have the attitude or commitment. Ian Rickman did ok in a few games with the dogs including a 7 goal haul on Keith Grieg as a 17 year old. Spider Shaw only played 2 games with Fitzroy which included a 5 goal haul. Rino Pretto played one game with the Roys but ended up a superstar in the VFA. There are many you could add to this list Fire away and see how many we could add to it. Wouldn't be a bad side either.

Can anyone point me to where I can get the VFL results and best players etc online? It seems far more difficult than it should but I can't find the results and best players from this year's games anywhere - not on the new AFL Victoria site, not here, not on the Herald Sun site(they were last year) and not on The Age site. I'd be grateful for any help.

Does any one have a Geelong West logo - similar to those in the avator section?
