Early VFA memories

Early VFA memories What are your early VFA memories ? I can recall Williamstown winning the 1969 2nd Division Grand Final against Sunshine and then coming up to 1st Division and making it to the Grand Final in 1st Division in 1970 only to fing Prahran a bit too good. Also remember when the Saturday matches were also televised by Channel 0 as well as the 1st Division games on Sunday. Then there was the lightning premierships during the VFA finals series. I also remember there was a brawl in almost every VFA match I went to from 1969.
Hi Would like to know what happen to everyone's clubs history after the fold like Dandenong ? I think Dandenong stingrays play at Sheply Oval and they have this old social room maybe it's in there not sure. Also just something i noticed while watching the 1991 G/F the other day Shaun Milane is holding the ball up in the air after the siren goes. It's very ironic guys that the year before 1990 his brother Darren Milane also ended up being the last person to hold the footy before the siren went. Sadly Darren is not with us anymore what a great player :(

Bit of a longshot, but...

Does anyone know what happened to the goal posts out at the Brunswick footy ground? I was passing the ground today and saw that they have been replaced with a standard height plastic pipes. As a kid I used to be amazed at how big they were (in comparison to the ones we had at Camberwell). They were probably the same size as the ones at Waverly Park (now at Williamstown), with the little knobly bit on the top. The ground condition was a little ordinary.. it joins many grounds where the grandstand is now fenced off.
