Box Hill Hawks

This week's elimination final in the ressies between Werribee and Box Hill will now be player at Werribee ( Chirnside Park) at 2pm on Saturday. Huge blow for the Hawk supporters who were intending on tearing over the the G after the game at Port in order to farewell Nick Holland and see Hawthorn's last game of the year. Follow your hearts guys , doubt very much it will be held against you either way.

Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't caught the news. The Round 20 reserves game between Bendigo and Box Hill has been changed from Sunday the 21st August to Saturday 20th August at 12 noon. The game will be now be played at Golden Square Oval , Wade St Golden Square and NOT at QEO.

Obviously Holland is a big loss to Box Hill, no doubt about that, but does his injury spell the end for their finals campaign? Certainly more pressure and another quality defender becomes available to play on Clinton Alleway, but I think that a large part of the reason Box Hill are in the 8, is because their midfield works hard, and from what I saw on Saturday, use the ball quite well.

Just wondering how he is going in the Box Hill Hawks side? I umpired his brother in the Ballarat Football League Lake Wendouree vs Sunbury game. Tim Little plays for Sunbury. Just wondering how his brother went.

Had a read of an article in this weeks Whitehorse Leader regarding Box Hill's request to have sole tenancy of the Box Hill City Oval. Apparently the council knocked back the request to boot out the cricket club. As a VFL supporter, my view is that City Oval is below par in certain areas - particularly when it comes to shelter.

Saturday 19th Feb at 10.00 am. Just a note guys , the game between Box Hill/Werribee (basically leftovers from the Hawthorn and Footscray Wizard Cup teams plus VFL listed guys) has been changed from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning at 10.00am. Venue remains unchanged - Whitten Oval. One game only.
