Box Hill Hawks

Just wondered if Hawks supporters thought that a long injury list at Hawthorn will have a serious effect on the Hawks for the start of the season? Or do you think those positions can be covered by others on your list ? Looking forward to Saturdays game!

Van Rooyen was very impressive in the ressies. Got plently of the ball. Also, Mizzi, Weinhart, Seahorse (not his real name) and a few others did alright. Looked a very inexperienced bunch. In the Seniors, Clifton looked the goods despite some hard tasks. Alleway is still finding his feet whilst Bailey can play. Carazzo and Corey McGrath basically tore us a new one. Carazzo brought his own footy and used it in a multitude of positions. Too easy for the youngster. Justin Davies and Fev were the main goal kickers for the Ants. Ricky Mott - large unit.

Although he's a Hawthorn listed player , CHF Tim Boyle would certainly have figured in Box Hill's plans for the season. Tim broke his leg today in a simple accident in a spot of match practice at Glenferrie Oval.

Box Hill / Hawthorn practice game March 12 For the first 3/5ths of the match it was 'Hawthorn + Gooch' versus Box Hill (before the Box Hill seconds players took over). At the 2/5ths stage I had 'Hawthorn' about 4 or 5 goals up, but 6 goals in a row to 'Box Hill' in the 3rd fifth evened up the scores, which begs the obvious question; are the Box Hill players currently fitter than Hawthorn's? Most impressive for Box Hill was young gun Tim Harvey.

Word around the traps tonight at training is that this weeks PM against Frankston has been called off....the reason , well my goss is that Frankston couldn't provide two sides .....any truth in this guys ? Anyway , Box Hill now looks like playing another intra club at Glenferrie on Friday evening.

Rico, forgot to ask you today about Brew. Any idea where he is playing (if at all) this year. Has he recovered from the injury? I know we are looking very much at a youth policy this year but would love to have the Skipper back.
