Vale Edmund (Ted) Saultry
Ted was an integral part of the VFA/VFL umpires' list from 1946-51 and served as the Port Melbourne ground announcer from 1998-2006.
Ted was the ground announcer at every VFL final played at TEAC Oval and Grand Finals at Optus Oval (now Visy Park) before retiring due to ill health.
Ted's innovation was to announce the umpires as they entered the field.
The thoughts of all at AFL Victoria go out to Ted's family.
