Hi people. I've done a bit of a ladder predictor......there are so many games that could alter the table in the next few weeks, but I think most of my predictions here are reasonable.....

Box Hill – currently 52/143.5 – Southport (A) L, Footscray (H) W, Casey (A) W – Predicted Finish 60/145 – 1st

Losses to both Footscray and Southport could see them drop to 2nd or even 3rd. Still likely to finish top.

Footscray – currently 48/134.5 – GWS Giants (H) W, Box Hill (A) L, Carlton (H) W – Predicted Finish 56/137 – 3rd

The Dolphins look bloody good. Watched a bit of tonight's game against Collingwood and Frankston look sharp. Move the ball quickly and structure up quite well too. 

And how good is that crowd too! 

That's right... with the Borough's season both at VFL and VFLW all but over, I've begun looking forward to next season.

The addition of St Kilda to the competition adds yet another side.

My understanding is that the Tasmania Devils are playing games against VFL clubs in 2026, but will not be part of the season itself, playing just 10 games throughout the season.

As much as I like the idea of the competition being one division, I'm beginning to wonder if it should be a case of playing every team once, and having no byes during the season.

More disappointment for the Borough faithful. 

The Dolphins ran out comfortable winners 16.12.108 to 11.7.73

Again Port Melbourne moved the ball well in patches. 

Again winning centre clearances (and hit outs)

Again winning inside 50s although narrowly

Again free kicks significantly in favour of the opposition

It was great to watch the final minutes to watch the Northern Bullants hold on to win their first game, breaking a losing steak of 21 games.

Hopefully the club really gets to enjoy the win and can build on their firm for the renaming games this year. 

It's a funny old comp.. The Swans knock off Southport last week and then get beaten by the Bullants a week later! 

Had a great day at North Port Oval

saw last quarter of VFLW then was timekeeping the legends game and VFL Match.

Legends game was a bit of fun.

VFL Game Port Melbourne dominated the territory in first half with +16 inside 50 count but could not score. In the end Williamstown won by 17 points 14-5(89) to 11-6(72) despite Port having 61-43 inside 50s at games end.

Harvey Hooper won Frank Johnson. medal for Port’s best player today.

Good crowd in great conditions.
